Hope your 2023 is going great. My name is Raven Alexander, and I am your board President and Membership Committee Chair. In 2017, our agency was approved to begin a Travel Training Program. With this being a new program and having never been a travel trainer before, I immediately began to look for resources to assist me with the development of the program. I found ATI and the association have proven to be one of the best resources. I have been a member since 2017 and have continued although my duties have changed over the years. Learning about industry best practices and networking with the membership has aided me in being successful.

I am always looking for ideas and professional development opportunities to enhance the program. Our Professional Development Committee provides just that. Every other month on the first Wednesday, the committee hosts a webinar or teleconference as an opportunity to learn from our peers. The next webinar discussion will be 2023 Conference Overview-Salt Lake City on Wednesday, July 5. Speaking of the upcoming conference, this is another opportunity for professional development and engagement with our peers. The 2023 conference will be held August 8-10 in Salt Lake City, UT. Below are some important links that provide registration information, hotel reservations, scholarship, and sponsorship opportunities.

Lastly, the Board of Directors will have five (5) positions that will be opening in August 2023. Nominations are being accepted until July 31, 2023. Elections will occur during the annual conference. Each position is a 2-year term. The Board of Directors shall consist of voting members of the organization. The Directors shall be elected by the voting members. Only those who have been active members of the organization for at least two years shall be eligible for election to the Board of Directors. https://form.jotform.com/220723910043141
As a reminder, the 2022 membership ended on December 31, 2022. All members are needing to renew their membership if they haven’t already to access exclusive membership benefits and discounted conference registration.
